What an incredible rally in Chula Vista this past week! There were 73 rigs and 135 attendees.
The Southern California weather was absolutely perfect for the entire event—pleasant daytime temperatures and cool evenings that allowed everyone to gather around the firepits for conversation, laughter, and plenty of socializing.
Beyond all the fun, there were excellent group informational sessions, including a tech talk and Q&A led by the master himself, Phil N. What an incredible wealth of knowledge he is. Phil even made rounds to everyone’s site, helping with repairs, adjustments, and offering invaluable insight about our rigs.
We also had a presentation by Truma, showing everyone how to properly maintain and troubleshoot their hot water systems and air conditioners.
Pleasure-Way dealer La Mesa RV was on hand to answer questions, and they brought along half a dozen new PW models to show off. La Mesa RV also sponsored an outstanding Mexican dinner for all the attendees.
Another highlight was Gadget Share time. Many folks brought their favorite or unique RV gadget to share with the group, explaining why they love it and where to purchase it. The gadgets covered everything you can imagine. I know my Amazon cart has a few more items in it now! The winning gadget was an electronic level that lights up when your rig is perfectly level—making setup quick and easy.
We also enjoyed a great ice cream social one afternoon, sponsored by Pleasure-Way. It was the perfect excuse to enjoy a treat and connect with even more attendees.
Sun Outdoors of Chula Vista hosted us for the week, and their staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The facility and amenities were top-notch all the way around.
This was my first Pleasure-Way rally, and I will definitely be attending more in the future.
