3 Adventure-Ready Hotels That Are Van-Life Friendly

Whether you’re planning an RV road trip or a simple weekend getaway, the following hotels may inspire you to embark upon a road trip. Here are 3 favorite adventure-ready hotels that are van-life friendly.

A-Lodge: Adventures in Colorado

Nestled up along a 4-mile creek in Boulder canyon you will find A-Lodge (Adventure Lodge). This historic gem has been restored and designed for outdoor-minded travelers. While only 10 minutes from downtown Boulder, you feel like you are a million miles away. Surrounded by trees and the sound of the creek running through the property this forest escape is a great launchpad for adventure.

The lodge offers snacks, local beers, canned cocktails, and other beverages, the upstairs of the main lodge has meeting space and comfy areas to work remotely if needed. Check the events calendar for fun things happening on site, such as live music in the beer garden and yoga on the main lawn.

Don’t have a van yet? No problem – rent a van from A-Lodge! They offer a fleet of adventure-ready vans you can rent.

What To Do:

  • Rocky Mountain NP is only an hour away and is a must see destination. Please check the website for entry requirements that may require reservations. A-Lodge has a sister property in Lyons that is even closer to the park if you don’t want to drive that far, but the Lyons location does not have van sites.
  • Continue up Boulder Canyon to Nederland where, after grabbing a coffee and food at Salto Coffee Works, you can go on a short easy hike or mountain bike around the Mud Lake Open Space. Be sure to keep an eye out for moose.
  • Don’t want to drive anywhere? Fish in the creek, take the connector trail up to the Betasso Preserve, or jump on a bike and take the bike path into town.
  • Take advantage of the A-Lodge adventure concierge team. They can help connect you with the best trails, climbs, guides and other adventures in the area.
